![]() ![]() Click to expand.Actually, you only "miss frames" as you say if you have enabled V-sync, which will not allow the graphics card to draw and send more frames that it should.Īnd without V-sync, technically the frame/image is sent and the monitor tries to display it, but since it cant display more than 60 per second, you end up with half a frame being on screen and the previous one still lingering there, which results in the well known ugly screen tearing.Įven then, you dont miss frames, since 60 frames per second is all you need, in order to match the 60HZ refresh rate of your monitor, and anything higher than that still wont result in more fluid motion or faster video/image reproduction, since your monitor will always be limited to 60HZ (by default). ![]()
